⚠️ Important Exclusions – Cutter Blades
Replaceable cutter blades are not covered under the lifetime warranty.
Why? Cutter blades are consumable parts (like car tires). Even the hardest tungsten carbide will eventually dull, chip, or wear down after repeated use with high-strength braided lines (PE) or wire. This is normal wear, not a defect.
🚫 What Else Is Not Covered?
To keep things fair, the warranty does not cover:
Rust & Corrosion – Built to be saltwater rustproof under normal fishing use. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse or neglect.
Cosmetic Wear – Scratches, paint chips, fading, or handle discoloration from normal use do not affect functionality.
Misuse or Abuse – Using the pliers as a hammer, prying heavy objects, cutting beyond specifications, or unauthorized modification.
Accessories – The lifetime warranty applies to the pliers only. Accessories such as the sheath, coiled lanyard, holster, clips, and other included accessories are considered consumable items and are not covered under the lifetime warranty.
Loss or Theft – We cover the tool, not lost items.

📩 How to File a Claim
If your pliers fail due to a manufacturing defect, contact us and we will send you a replacement at no cost.
If the cutters are not cutting properly, check whether the two cutter blades are fully aligned and making contact.
In some cases, movement or impact during shipping or use can cause the blades to shift slightly, creating a small gap between them. This can affect cutting performance.
If you notice a gap, simply loosen the Allen screws, realign the blades, and retighten the screws. No replacement is needed.

We do not recommend it. Please avoid using the blade to cut any high-hardness metal objects.
Material Properties: The blade is made of tungsten carbide, which offers extremely high hardness. It performs exceptionally well when cutting various types of fishing lines (including PE line, nylon line, and carbon line), is virtually wear-resistant, and can also be used to cut standard fishing steel wire. However, just like diamonds, “extreme hardness” often implies “low impact toughness.”
Risk of Chipping Warning: Forcing the blades to cut high-hardness single-strand steel wire, steel rings, or hard fishing hooks may cause the blades to chip or shatter.
Our cutters use tungsten carbide blades rated at HRA 89–93, making them exceptionally hard and durable. In many cases, reduced cutting performance is caused by slight blade misalignment rather than wear.
The pliers are made from aerospace-grade 17-4 PH stainless steel, providing exceptional corrosion resistance.
For best performance, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly after each trip.

As an update to my one star review! After very close inspection of the cutters on my pliers I noticed there was a gap that only showed up when I placed alight behind them. I could see a small gap between the cutters. I Loosened the Allen screws and realigned the cutters with the light on behind them to ensure they are perfectly aligned and then retightened the Allen screws. Now they cut 10lb braid and mono perfectly! Five stars!!

Used mine for the first time on an 8 day trip fishing off often hard-to-access rock marks on the south west coast of Ireland earlier this month. I was a bit skeptical about the cutters, but they do actually cut braid cleanly and easily. Now don't use scissors just have the pliers on a lanyard on my belt so fewer tangles. Wasn't keen on the hard case with the nose sticking out of the bottom, but they fit snugly in my Strauss pliers holster. Result.

Light and very easy use. Love the grib an ease of plyer clamp action and the side cutters are great. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommended.
Overall, I’m very happy with the pliers. But as an experienced fisherman, I would suggest reviewing the lanyard attachment location. In my opinion, the lanyard should be attached to the outer side of the opposite handle. The way it is it restricts hand movement and interferes with smooth one-handed use. Relocating the attachment point could keep the lanyard clear of the hand and improve overall freedom of movement.
