Replaceable cutter blades are not covered under the lifetime warranty.

Why? Cutter blades are consumable parts (like car tires). Even the hardest tungsten carbide will eventually dull, chip, or wear down after repeated use with high-strength braided lines (PE) or wire. This is normal wear, not a defect.
✅ Solution: Replacement blade kits are available for purchase to restore peak sharpness.

🚫 What Else Is Not Covered?
To keep things fair, the warranty does not cover:

  • Rust & Corrosion – Built to be saltwater rustproof under normal fishing use. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse or neglect.
  • Cosmetic Wear – Scratches, paint chips, fading, or handle discoloration from normal use do not affect functionality.
  • Misuse or Abuse – Using the pliers as a hammer, prying heavy objects, cutting beyond specifications, or unauthorized modification.
  • Accessories – The lifetime warranty applies to the pliers only. Accessories such as the sheath, coiled lanyard, holster, clips, and other included accessories are considered consumable items and are not covered under the lifetime warranty.
  • Loss or Theft – We cover the tool, not lost items.

We do not recommend it. Please avoid using the blade to cut any high-hardness metal objects.

Material Properties: The blade is made of tungsten carbide, which offers extremely high hardness. It performs exceptionally well when cutting various types of fishing lines (including PE line, nylon line, and carbon line), is virtually wear-resistant, and can also be used to cut standard fishing steel wire. However, just like diamonds, “extreme hardness” often implies “low impact toughness.”

Risk of Chipping Warning: Forcing the blades to cut high-hardness single-strand steel wire, steel rings, or hard fishing hooks may cause the blades to chip or shatter.
Our cutters use tungsten carbide blades rated at HRA 89–93, making them one of the hardest materials available.
In most cases, reduced cutting performance is caused by slight blade misalignment rather than wear.
Simply loosen the screws, realign the blades, and tighten them again to restore optimal cutting performance.
